Vegh Veronika 2016-2017

Ever since I remember I’ve been obsessed with nature and science, especially biology. So, when I applied to university it was obvious to me which major I would choose. I graduated from Eötvös Loránd University as a Molecular Biologist (MSc), after which I became a Biology-English teacher (MA).  I hold a Ph.D. in Health Sciences.

I first taught in California and later on in France. These positive experiences were very decisive for my future. When I returned home, it was a great pleasure for me to be able to join the teaching staff of the BME International Secondary Grammar School in 2014. Since then, I have been teaching biology here both in the State curriculum and in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program.

My aim is to help my students realize the importance of biology and to create an enjoyable learning experience for them.  As a teacher, I try to facilitate learning and help students follow their own interests and reach their aims.

I love to spend my free time outdoors in the countryside with my family, friends, and our animals. I love to travel, to do sports, and to play the violin. As my roots are connected to Hollókő, I’m an active member of the local community and try to keep our traditions alive there.
